Current Scholarships

FEF Canada has established investment funds that support two annual Scholarships.

When the Mohawk College’s Archie McCoy Memorial foundry lab was closed Mohawk College donated the auction proceeds from the excess equipment to FEF Canada. The MFTI Scholarship is funded by these funds and is awarded annually to a student studying in an undergraduate program at a FEF Canada sponsored school.

The Canadian Foundry Association (CFA) Past President’s Award is supported by funds transferred from the CFA Canada’s Education fund as FEF Canada became established. The scholarship is presented to a Canadian student in full time studies at an under or post graduate level at a Canadian College or University.

  • Preference will be given to programs with foundry specific course content.
  • Preference will be given to students that demonstrate a clear desire to pursue a career in the Canadian Metal Casting industry.
  • Students that can clearly demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in the Canadian metal casting industry in a non foundry specific program are also invited to apply.

Additionally, the Ontario Chapter of the Non-Ferrous Foundry Society has partnered with FEF Canada for last 10 years and annually awards a scholarship to an undergraduate student at a Canadian college or University with demonstrated interest and/or experience in non-ferrous metals.

Students interested in being considered for FEF Canada Scholarships  must register with FEF Canada office each year and review scholarships guidelines on this site. Scholarships are awarded in March each year.
